Toyota is no stranger to widening the appeal of their lauded hybrid, the Prius. This year, the Japanese automaker began introducing new models to a Prius family of cars, and their appeal ranges from greater cargo room to more fuel economy. Down the line, Toyota even has plans to introduce a more compact variant of the Prius. In other words, there really is a Prius for everyone.
Okay, maybe not quite everyone... After all, there are those who want a vehicle that's more aggressively-styled. Luckily, Toyota hasn't forgotten about them either, and they're planning to launch yet another Prius model in Japan to prove it.
Officially dubbed the Toyota Prius G, the new variant is actually based on the existing top-tier S trim of the original Toyota Prius. That said, it features a body kit to give it an edgier appeal, 18-inch aluminum wheels, and red and black racing strips to top the exterior off quite nicely. Meanwhile, the vehicles suspension has been reworked by Gazoo Racing. Under the hood, however, Toyota has opted to keep the same hybrid powertrain that defines the most lauded hybrid in the world. While this means that the Toyota Prius G won't have an extra kick of power to match its new looks, it will also be a true hybrid at heart.
So has the Toyota Prius G caught your eye? Or do you prefer a different Prius model? Feel free to leave us a comment to let us know. Toyota of New Orleans, located at 13150 I-10 Service Road New Orleans, LA 70128, would love to know what you think!
