Scion is certainly stirring up some enthusiasm this year with its amazing 2012 Scion vehicles, and apparently, it's also stirring up some storms. No, we don't mean the kind of metaphorical storms filled with angst and controversy; we're talking about a "thunderstorm" of sporty style. This month, Scion will construct a "Thunderdome" media theater at the Chicago Auto Show, which utilizes about 30 percent more space than the brand's previous exhibits.
The "Thunderdome" exhibit features 15-ft. tall LED screens, action videos, an impressive sound system, and a center exhibit with the brand's newest vehicle, the 2013 Scion FR-S RWD compact sports car, which goes on sale later this spring. There will also be several other new Scion vehicles on display, such as the 2012 Scion iQ, a micro compact which is now available here at Toyota Scion of New Orleans, located at 13150 I-10 Service Road New Orleans, LA 70128. Each model at the Chicago Auto Show will have its own interactive guest experience, digital product information, and a video wall. As Steve Hatanaka, Special Events and Auto Shows Manager for Scion explains, "We think Chicago-area visitors will enjoy the modifications that we've made to our exhibit. . . It remains true to Scion's roots of authenticity, personalization and youth."1 The exhibit was constructed and designed by Michigan architect George P. Johnson.
