The Focus of Trailhunter

Toyota focuses on overlanding with the Trailhunter concept. The idea is that it will be equipped from the factory to meet the needs of those who enjoy overlanding. Trailhunter will be more than just a truck. It also includes SUVs under this name for outdoor enthusiasts who appreciate the go-anywhere attitude.

The vehicle will support modifications with Toyota Genuine and Associated Accessory Products. The trucks and SUVs will be intentionally built for the demands of overlanding and extremely capable vehicles. These models will be designed at the factory to be ready for off-roading with no need to add accessories.

Trailhunter on Display

The Trailhunter concept on display at the 2022 SEMA show had some unique features. It included a distinctly Trailhunter suspension, skid plates, bumpers, and lighting, as well as a rooftop tent and refrigerator.

Future Trailhunter models will continue to boast versatility and capability with plenty of storage for the necessities and gear. Load-bearing performance is also a focal point for the Trailhunter series.

A Future in Toyota Overlanding Rigs

Toyota has provided exciting concepts to outdoor enthusiasts at the SEMA Show in the past. These concepts include the TRD Sport Trailer, Tacozilla Tacoma Camper, and the Tacoma Overlanding concept. But the Trailhunter concept takes the overlanding idea to a whole new level.

Toyota plans to reveal more Trailhunter details in the next year. Each truck is planned to be designed from the ground up with modifications for overlanding. It will include the components that enthusiasts expect to see on these vehicles.

The Trailhunter badge features a compass, which enhances the idea that the journey is the main goal. It also serves to reinforce the focus of developing an overlanding rig that is functional for whatever may come your way. Overlanding requires a capable vehicle that can handle lengthy adventures on or off-road. The Trailhunter concept offers exciting possibilities for drivers with an adventurous spirit who need unique accessories and accommodations in their vehicles.

Toyota’s plan for the Trailhunter is to be built in-house here in the US. To find out more about it and other concept vehicles, you can visit the Toyota website.
