New Orleans Student Wins New Toyota at Toyota of New Orleans

Once you leave high school, the sky is the limit. If you’re going to start a career, though, it helps to have a reliable vehicle that you can count on. At Toyota of New Orleans, we strive to give back to the community in any way that we can, which is why we’re excited to announce that a recent graduate of Morris Jeff High School is now driving a beautiful 2025 Toyota Corolla LE.

You only get to go through high school once, so it’s important to pay attention and do your best. The Stay in School Car Giveaway is designed to reward students who have gone above and beyond. Senior students with perfect attendance are entered into a raffle, with the first-place prize being a brand-new Toyota Corolla LE. As for the other prizes, qualified students were eligible for everything from monetary donations to $100 Amazon Gift Cards, which were provided by Troy Duhon. As for the 2025 Corolla LE, this is Toyota of New Orleans’ contribution to the competition. If you want to take a closer look at what this car is like, then you’re always welcome to visit us. Choosing an Appropriate Award

The first-place reward could have been anything, but at Toyota of New Orleans, we strongly believe that the 2025 Corolla LE was the best choice.

• Experiencing the World: New Orleans is a beautiful city, but there’s a whole world out there waiting to be explored. It’s almost impossible to get around the United States without a vehicle, but the Toyota Corolla LE is a reliable and safe model that can take you anywhere you want to go.
• Off to College: College can be harder to navigate than high school, as students will have to learn how to be an adult while also taking their classes. With a car, it’ll be easier to get groceries, run errands, and make it to class on time.
• A Reward Worth the Effort: School is hard. Students are expected to juggle multiple classes while also maintaining a perfect attendance record. It’s important to make rewards worth it, and we believe that a Toyota Corolla LE is the perfect way to show our appreciation.

Meet the Final Winner

There were sixty entrants in this competition, but in the end, the new 2025 Corolla LE was awarded to Jonathan Vasquez. At 17 years old, he now has a great car and a bright future ahead of him.

• Going the Extra Mile: Giving away cars isn’t always easy, as there are a lot of hidden costs that might not immediately come to mind. For example, once you have your new car, you’ll still have to pay tax and registration. You’ll also have to get insurance if you want to drive legally. We know that these can be rough hurdles, especially for someone who is just entering the working world. Because of this, the Orleans Parish School Board aims to contribute $3,205, which should cover the first year of car insurance, taxes, and registration.
