What to Expect with the Corolla Hatchback

The 2026 model of the Corolla Hatchback is just as fun and nimble as ever. You still get to enjoy peppy performance with sharp handling while also being a dependable ride. You can choose from three trims: SE, FX Edition, and XSE. This hatchback is powered by a 2.0L Dynamic-Force four-cylinder engine that produces up to 169 horsepower and 151 lb.-ft of torque. You still get incredible efficiency with an estimated 32 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway.

Standard for this model is wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to let you get connected. You can access your favorite apps with just your voice. Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is also standard and comes with Proactive Driving Assist and Lane Departure Assist.

You’ll continue to enjoy the responsive handling of the Corolla Hatchback with a Dynamic Shift continuously variable transmission with paddle shifters. You can choose between Normal, Eco, and Sport driving modes to fit your preference.

Enjoy a distinct look regardless of which trim you select for the Corolla Hatchback. The SE model includes a six-way adjustable driver’s seat while the XSE trim has an eight-way power and heated driver’s seat with SofTex materials.

What’s New for the 2026 Hatchback Model?

Toyota made some additions to the 2026 model of the Corolla Hatchback. For improved safety, Blind Spot Monitor is now standard. You also get a wireless charger on all trims, allowing you to leave your cords at home.

The FX Edition is new for this model year. It features a ten-way Sport Touring driver’s seat that’s heated. The passenger seat is also heated and includes four-way adjustments.
